TRAVEL ITEMS

You got your holiday booked?, Got your camera’s ready?, Money for the trips?, Family and other items you make need ready?

Going on holiday is great and fun way to relax and unwind, but it could all go wrong if you don’t check your items before you go, cause once your on your way to the airport its going to be an annoyance to come back for it and your also risking missing your flight. The most common items that you should check before leaving home are;

  • Passport
  • correct foot wear for the day(s) your on holiday’s
  • Pen/Pencils
  • Itinerary/Holiday Plans
  • Hotel contact details
  • Phone
  • Backup cash (small limited amount where possible)
  • Emergency contact details
  • Travel Insurance details
  • Hat/Shade wear (when visiting a hot country)
  • Sunscreen

Remember when your on holidays don’t stress about no having the right things, as long as you have the essentials then any other things you can buy/get on your holiday.

Money for holidays or can card do it all?

Q: Do we need cash for our holidays?
A: Yes we still do, the reason why we still do is although card can get you most things, there are somethings in life where cash is still king, an excellent example is in certain country cash is still widely used & credit is rarely used. And the best country to experience this is Japan (really most Asian countries), except for a few where card is more widely used.
But be a ware that you should never travel with too much cash, as the fact is, if you get mugged, you could lose it all (cash) if you don’t also credit.

Q: So what is the best way to travel “money wise”
A: Well if you plan on using cash on your holiday then best suggestion is don’t bring too much cash with you, bring both cash & credit card (must be secured).
Example if you want to spend say $20000 on your holiday, then you bring only say $9000 cash & the rest $11000 in credit on a card that will only allow you to spend that much and no more. Think it as a ratio of maybe 40:60 or something along these lines.

Q: Why you should spend money on food on your holidays?
A: Budget, simple answer.

Q: Cash or credit for other travel expenses?
A:
This one is tricky answer, as you will need to look at your holiday plans and then work from there, for example most dining experience sticking with cash is great, but for renting things like cars, bike etc, credit card is best.

TIPS FOR TRAVEL ON A SMALL BUDGET

This page is to showcase some of my personal holiday photos, which if you want can be purchased.

Trying to travel on a budget is hard these day but if you know what you want to do and how much your willing to spend then it makes it a bit more easier to do so.

The best way a person can do is to “lay out” the travel details such as where your going, what day your doing what and so on.
Another way you can “pay less” for your trip is to consider traveling in either group situation with people you know, either friends, or family members or the second option is to join a guided tour group.

If you have other tips that can help save money on your next trip please feel free to share them here.
